hi, i need to know if it's even worth my time to apply to some out-of-state schools that i am interested in.

what kind of stats do i need to get into UCLA, Washington, Denver, and Oregon???

i have a 3.8 GPA in civil engineering from a top 5 engineering school (however, my orgo and bio requirements were fulfilled at a junior college, since i am working full-time as an engineer right now).

assume my DAT will be somewhere around 20.

worth my time or waste of money applying to these out-of-state schools?

can someone who got into one of these schools from out of state post their stats?

i dont want to pay these darn application fees if i already know i'm going to get rejected. 🙁

Avoid Washington, Colorado, and UCLA. Well, and even Oregon now that I think about it.

Statistics 2001

UCLA 83 in-state 5 out
Wash 40 in 14 out
Oregon 59 in 12 out
Colorado 25 in 12 out

-Keep in mind that some of these out of staters are from neighboring states that have "deals" with the schools.

Great schools, but hard to get into if not a resident. Actually the are hard to get into if you are a resident, but even harder if you are not. Good luck!

Michigan 68 in 45 out (much better chances)
