I’ve submitted most of my secondary applications and gotten lots of completed application notification emails. However, this afternoon I got an email from one of the schools that my last name has been misspelled on the cover of my committee letter/letter packet. I immediately emailed my health professions advisory office to alert them of the error and emailed the school back, apologizing for the inconvenience and telling them that I let my office know.

But now I’m wondering if I should preemptively email all of the other schools I applied to letting them know of the error. Or should I wait for them to reach out to me?

Because of some transition happening in my health professions advisory office my committee letter and letter packet were delayed but luckily were submitted a week and a half ago. I’m hoping that they will be able to correct as quickly.

Let your prehealth office take care of notifying the other schools of their mistake. Politely ask them to do this.
