After getting my 1st acceptance and the burden of potentially "not getting in" is now off my shoulder, I don't know what to do!

The school sent me an official packet over the weekend and I am like "doi doi durr"...what do I do now?

They have a luncheon for accepted students in January but what do I do in terms of taking their offer and waiting until May 15th? I still want to wait to see if my other choice calls me.

Do I send them the $50 to hold my spot or what?

Congrats on your acceptance. And yes, send in your deposit just in case something else doesn't come your way.

Only $50 bucks, wow, one of my deposits was $1000. DO schools are more costly.

Send it in and enjoy your Holidays!!!

I wonder if all schools require a deposit after acceptance. I didn't hear anything about deposit from Vanderbilt.

I don't think it's a $50 "deposit"...I think it's just a spot holder. I am sure their deposit is way more than $50.

I don't think a deposit required for all schools....at least not for Emory.

do you know that you can hold multiple acceptances till may 15? i thought i read that you've been at this for quite some time. it'd really be ridiculous to squander your chance over $50. You should definitely send it in.

I know I've same question, my deposit is like $100 or $150 which is cool, especially since its 95% likely i'll go there.
$1000 is a killer though, goodness i guess they want to be sure ur going to go there 😛

not all schools have deposits (at least not all MD schools)- CWRU, for example, doesn't have a "space holder" deposit. i believe you can get it back if you decide where you're going before may 15. i think i read somewhere on AAMC's website that the maximum "space holder" is $100. if you have MSAR it tells you what the deposit is for each school.

now I'm eagerly awaiting goodies from my schools...and the wait is driving me nuts!

I called the school and the $50 is the deposit and it holds my seat. It's also refundable up until May 15th...so I better pay it.
