Heres the deal. My state school flat out told me with my numbers to "look forward to hearing from them the first week of December." They give you about 50 days to put down a $1000 deposit or else your spot is given up. However, I have some interviews lined up in mid to late January (all the times they had left). What do I do?? Im assuming i dont have much choice but to pay the grand, if im accepted. I really dont have a top choice. My idea is to see who offers what, and how much more it is to leave state before i decide. Obviously, all this is given I do get the letter. Im sure many people on here will have to deal with this dilema.

If i were in your shoes, I would definitely go to my state school coz it's way cheaper. From what i've heard i doesn't matter which dental school you graduate from. That way i also save money by not attending the interviews at other school.
But i'm glad for you that you have the option of choosing. Goodluck.

i would probably do the same, and go to my state school and save the money I would have to splurge at private schools. Which school is it?

In case the adcom folks are bored and read these boards, im not going to say what school told me that. Would only go to hurt me.

Smart move! But seriously, your first choice should be your state school.
No pressure though.
