I was accepted to my 2nd choice school back in december, and I have put down the deposit for it. However, I was recently put on the waitlist for my 1st choice school. I have to confirm that I am interested in being put on the waitlist at my 1st choice. Is it risky for me to confirm my interest at my 1st choice, and possibly lose my spot at my 2nd choice school? Thanks in advance.

Whats up with all the paranoia threads lately....

It's a conspiracy I tell you!

There is absolutely no risk!!!

How would you lose your spot in the 2nd choice school, you have already put your deposit down doesn't that save your spot?

I don't see how confirming your interest in your 1st choice school would risk your spot.

You will NOT lose anything by doing this. I as well as plenty of other applicants have done this and will continue to do this. If you are given options, you have the luxury to exercise them as you would like. Just withdraw from your 2nd choice if you get into your 1st choice as soon as you find out/decide.

By the way, what schools are you talking about?
