For people who have taken the test (especially ones that have achieved their target score), what did you guys do the day before the big day? Some last minute cramming? Or just relax and don't look at any material at all?

Wake up at the same time that you would wake up on test day- 6/615am ish. Get a nice pump/ cardio session in to tucker yourself out for later so that you can fall asleep early. Maybe get a massage and eat a nice dinner? Treat yourself

I woke up at the same time I would be waking up on test day. I didn’t have anything to do, so I spent the morning at the pool with my kids. After dinner, I drove to the city my testing center was in and checked into the hotel. Then I took a drive to the center so it wouldn’t be unfamiliar. I spent the rest of the evening watching funny shows and stand up. Then I said good night to my girls on the phone and went to sleep.

I strongly recommend not doing anything related to the MCAT or med school the day before (other than logistics like taking a drive to the center). You really need to be fresh and relaxed the day of your test. If you’re not ready the day before, you’re not going to be able to do anything at that point to get yourself ready. You’ve done all the training. Now it’s time to rest before game day.

I woke up so refreshed and confident on test day. I felt so good and relaxed, and I think it really helped. I scored 5 points above what I was expecting based on my FLs.

I agree with all the above. Don't do anything related to the MCAT except making sure you know where your testing center is. I woke up at the same time I would for test day, made myself a nice breakfast, and then went and saw Avengers: Infinity Wars since it came out the week before my test. I was home by 5 pm, asked my roommates to be extra quiet (and then bought them pizza the next day for agreeing), and went and rocked the test. If you're hitting your target scores, more studying won't help, but relaxing and being fresh definitely will. Good luck, OP!

I got a massage lol. Scored 4 points higher than my last FL and 3 points higher than the avg at my all school. Only looked over some mcat math notes and important biochem equations as these were my weakest areas. Your biggest asset on exam day is your common sense problem solving so make sure you're mentally fresh going in.

i cannot agree more. Your score will be largely determined by your ability to keep your nerves in check and to apply the basic problem solving skills you've been using for 20+ years. Your knowledge of the sciences and luck will be significant but much smaller determinants.
