Okay, I'm not good in verbal section.
I would do practice passages AAMC or EK, I could finish them on time but I dont have any spare time to go over the questions again.
When I try redoing the questions I get wrong, I realize that I could've easily gotten these questions right if I read questions carefully and if I referred back to the passage to scan the real answers. But remember that I just have enough time to finish the passage and the questions. 🙁 I have read the posts saying real MCAT is 1-2 paragraphs longer.. what should I do so I can improve my grade..?

Read faster. I know that sounds simple, but reading quickly and with understanding is valuable, not just for the MCAT, but in general. Do you just read very slowly, or do you frequently stop and read over again? Do you feel that if you don't read slow enough you won't understand the passage? Do you typically read slowly or just on the MCAT?

Yeah, trying to speed up your reading of both the passages and questions is probably a good idea. I also have trouble reading fast, but I spent a little time looking online for speed reading methods, and there's one that I've tried to use and seems to be working a bit. Instead of trying to "read" every line, sort of move your eyes along the line of text. This will help you to move faster, and you will automatically be reading the words, even though you're not really trying. Just make sure you're comprehending it too! I went from not even finishing the last passage, to finishing with about 5 minutes left!

Use the exam krackers book and give yourself only 8 minutes per passage. Once you get to where 8 is doable, try 7.5. That's what I've been doing for the past couple of months since I ran out of time last time I took the real mcat. I'll let you know how it works out. My test day is tomorrow. :scared:

how did the real test go-? was it really longer than practice exams? were you able to comprehend/finish on time?

I tried reading quickly.. TOTAL FAIL. I couldn't comprehend what I was reading and when I was reading questions I couldn't know where/what to look for in the passage. I guess I tried reading too fast...

I thought the passages were noticably longer on the real MCAT. I was pissed that everyone suggests TPRH and it just seems like the passages from the TPRH workbook were half the length of the real mcat passages.
