Hello all,

After I hit submit on my amcas primary after putting in my credit card number, amcas returns with a "transaction failure". Apparently the cost of applications is higher than my transaction limit!! What can I do now! Is there anyway to split up the schools into two transactions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Call AMCAS. They're the best people to ask these questions. My guess is they'll split the charges or allow you to use two cards.

Just a thought, and I have not tried this, but...

What if you remove just enough schools so that the total cost is cheaper and the transaction can go through? Wait to be verified. Then, add the rest of the schools. Or maybe you don't even have to wait to be verified. You might be able to add the second bunch of schools and do the transaction immediately after the 1st. Thoughts anyone?

Can you go back and add more schools?

If I were you I would consider applying to less schools. I think this is definitely a red flag of future financial trouble...
