What to include in a withdrawal letter?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just said thank you for considering my application and I am withdrawing my spot in the class of 2007. There really isn't much more to say.

Dear Committee,

I am withdrawing.

Sincerely,
Lab-Rat21

My question stems from a desire to part ways on amicable terms. I want to make sure that if I want to do a residency at drexel 4 years down the road, I don't get passed over for withdrawing late.

Don't stress about this. Believe me, admission offices get so many of these letters throughout the years that they might not even remember you even applying there let alone you withdrawing from there. Remember, you will be applying for residency 4 years from now! They don't keep such meticulous records. Just keep it simple. Say your thanks and withdraw.
