What to see in Minneapolis

Any thoughts about what to see and do in Minneapolis? Will be there later in the fall for interviews and would like to see what the town has to offer. Thanks for your suggestions!

It's a little Microsoft-y, but http://twincities.citysearch.com/ is not a bad guide. The local free newsweekly is http://www.citypages.com/ and their site should have listings for live music (really good scene there), theater (you should check out Theatre de la Jeune Lune) and restaurants (go to dinner at Bobino in NE Minneapolis and then have drinks at the piano bar at Nye's).

Depending on how late in the fall, you may or may not want to do the 'walk by the river in St. Anthony neighborhood, and across the bridge into downtown for drinks' thing. In the spring or summer, that can be really nice.

the Mall of America!!!

They just opened a light rail (Train) from downtown to the MOA...

Lots of lakes, but it'll all be covered in ice and snow..

Sighs..

I miss Minneapolis - Chicago isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
