Had a 4 in all (European scale)Just interested in what everyone's grade 11 and 12 marks were in science and math courses. How much of a drop in 1st year university?
Had straight A's here in the US (besides Gen Chem 1- B, and Gen Bio 1 Lab- B).
Can't say your success in HS is necessarily an accurate predictor of your college accomplishments.
Grade 11:
Chemistry AP (C's for both semesters)
Calculus AP (D first semester and C second semester)
Grade 12:
Biology AP (C's both semesters)
Statistics AP (C's both semesters)
First year university (Straight A's including Calculus and General Chemistry)
Yeah, I did pretty poorly in high school. I think I graduated with a GPA below a 3.0. My undergrad university would have probably rejected me if I hadn't scored 4's on almost all of my AP exams.

Did pretty bad in HS. I went to a private catholic school which was stupid because they offered ****ty courses and had to take religion classes that don't count at all.
I only did good in Science classes math I bombed.
Bio 1 and 2 B
Chemistry B
Environmental Science (I know wtf): C
Algebra 2: C-
Trig: C
Haven't taken Calculus at all and I'm dreading it. -__-
College at the other hand I have so much time to study and get ready and thanks to ratemyprofessors I get all the good professors that know how to teach.

Up until sophmore in highschool I maintained a 4.0 first in class blah blah blah (sorry stole your blah Lea). Then I gave up trying. Actually graduated with ~1.8.
I obviously could not attend a university and actually had to interest too. Took a few years off and now I'm close to half way to my BA/BS and have ~3.7.
In my opinion, high marks in highschool does not have a high correlation to high marks in college.

Do you have a couch I can lay on? 😉 It involves issues I had growing up with my parents and authority in general. Why? 😕

I've always been a perfectionist...something to do with not wanting to live in my sister's shadow.
4.0 when I graduated high school, didn't take math my senior year because I was already two years ahead (pre-calc by the time I got into my sophomore year). That trend continued into college...4.0 after my first year. It's dropped a little since then (mostly poor teachers --> me not wanting to do anything for their class --> 3 B's total in 3 years of college).
Although I didn't do well in my high school AP courses, I got straight A's in my freshmen year because freshmen course materials seemed familiar with me after AP courses.
Don't be discouraged.
You will ace freshmen courses if you get through those hardcore AP courses.

seeing as how I'm in high school now I can tell you how things are going to go and have gone. I was horrible at Algebra 2 then was good in geometry, totally rocked Chem and then that jump started my life. lets go down memory lane
Freshmen year
Algebra 2- D
Biology-A
Sophomore year
Geometry-A
Chemistry- A
Earth Science- B
Junior Year
Ap Calc-B
Trig-C
Chem 2-A
Ap Chem- A
AP Bio-A
Senior year (expected)
Physics- B
Human A and P- A
Calc 2- C or B
statistics-A
Quantum Mechanics- B
these are only my high school classes, I'm not including when I dual enrolled. But I've always struggled with math.

Sure, let's start with your name.
Ahh.. I'm still not sure how 4.0 -> 1.8 happens... Or how dramatic Lea's fluctuated.
I already told you why. Not everyone has a perfect little life.Sure, let's start with your name.

🙁 Sorry it wasn't what I meant...
Tru dat. Can't say your success in HS is necessarily an accurate predictor of your college accomplishments.
Graduated with 3.8 something in high school. Didn't take my first year in college seriously, so I'm sitting somewhere between 3.2 and 3.3.
I can't specifically remember my high school grades, but based on my GPA I had mostly A's.
As for college, I received B's in both chemistry semesters, B's in both biology semesters, and a B in calculus I.
Lets just say that I was acting out after living in the shadow of an elder sibling throughout my life.Sure, let's start with your name.

Totally different animals... I don't think there's really a correlation. Some students do a lot better when they get to college because it's a more grown-up learning experience. Others have a bad semester while they adjust, then rebound just fine. Some people, like my wife, skate through high school and then really struggle staying motivated in college. Me, I was a total slacker in high school and faked my way to a 3.0. I continued that attitude into the first year of undergrad then turned it around and ended up with a 3.5, and had only 3 Bs (nothing worse than that) in my last five semesters.
I was salutatorian in high school, but in college I made some B's my first year. I think I had a B in the second semester of General Chemistry and a B+ in Calculus II because I had to teach myself from the book (I consider myself pretty good with accents, but I couldn't understand the professor at all). lol
