If it's during the exam, I would ignore and continue on with my own exam, and discuss the issue with him and the prof after the exam. What would you do?

At Temple, in our patho class, if somebody cheats off your paper, then you fail with them. You should protect your answers so nobody can cheat off you.

It's against the our *very strict* honor code. cheating=judicial board, which is basically guaranteed expulsion
I would turn them in. If I havent slept in days because of studying, neither should they(usually the cheaters look well rested in my experience)

i almost slapped the **** out of some guy cheating off me but decided not to since there would be lots of commotion plus i would have knocked him clear on the ground...so instead, i got my calculator and covered my paper really well and used my elbow to block his view....

yah, one or two times or even three times is ok. but he starts a million "question" threads and doesn't reply to any of them, just lets everyone else answer them. if you check his "find other posts by smooth operator", you will see he just posts questions and never replies to any...or even replies to OTHER people's threads. here are his posts within the past 15 DAYS!!!!! all questions, no contribution. i guess i'm doing him/her a favor by bumping this, but this is just outrageous.

i agree. the op never replies. if it was a genuine interest in mutual discussion i wouldn't mind in the least, but that's not the case.

I would write wrong answers down.... let the kid copy them....
Then.. change my answers to correct ones......
If I get a 100% on my test.... there's a possibility that the kid gets a big fat 0 😀

Schools definitely want integrity in their students and so if you believe someone was cheating off you, you should first confront the student and ask the student to turn his/herself in or else you will be forced into notifying the professor. I believe that is the procedures at Columbia.

I wouldn't know if someone was cheating off me though...I'm looking at my own test; and not at the people cheating around me.

But hey, if I see a group of people cheating, and a class is based off of a curve....then I might say something, but I won't rat on a specific name. I'd just be like, "Hey Prof. X, I think we have some cheating going on in this section of the classroom. On the next test I'd keep my eyes out over there."
