Yup, just like what the title said. Who gets one and why? What are some of the benefits? And what the hell is it?

A fellowship is something you can do once you finish your residency to become a "specialist" in a certain field. Cardiologists require a 3 year fellowship AFTER they finish the 3-4 years of internal medicine residency. Benefits to doing a fellowship is you can make more money. IM = 150-200k, specialists = 250-300k.
