I work as a bartender and it is excellent for school. I work 3 to 4 shifts a week, mostly on the weekend. And devote my weekdays to school. Make more than enough money relative to the hours worked, many of my coworkers are servers and do the same thing.

i've used to bartend and i agree, it is a great job. i work for IT Services now, which is also a greattttt job. i would say do something non dental related because for the next 40 years you will be a dentist.

Probably because dental related jobs are hard to come by w/o the right certification. Very few are willing to train and odds are stacked against you if you're a guy. Don't think I've ever seen someone in an assisting position who wasn't female (could just be my area though...).
