true and true. But since a large majority of MD's can't match at competitive residencies anyways, this should be a non issue for most run of the mill medical students, MD or DO.
Because the average MCAT for some DOs is 24-25, a score which can be attained by taking only two of the three tests.

I remember visiting Mayo clinic once and seeing all of its doctors treating patients using their mastery of the ideal gas law....
