What's the first thing you will do after you get your first acceptance?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Let out a huge sigh of relief.

drop out of my M.A, get a job, and start paying off loans...🙁

Well I would cry and scream simultaneously upon receiving an acceptance. Afterwards though would depend on whether or not my husband had received an acceptance to the same school. If we get accepted to the same school we're going to Disneyworld baby!! 😀

Definitely sleep a lot, relax, and generally just live it up, guys. Many folks gave me that advice a while back and now I wished I had followed it more closely. 🙂

That's a good question. If it comes before my last half-ironman this season, I won't be drinking. I may use the energy to go for a long training ride or something.

It'll have to sink in... that'll take some time. After that I'll probably get the best night's sleep I've had in years, and think of how happy I am. And then enjoy life, as mentioned before.

A jig. I long, drawn out, ridiculous little dance. It will incorporate the dog, my girlfriend, a beer, some screaming, fainting, and the sudden realization that someone just let me bust my ass for months to pay them more money than I've ever spent on anything else in my life.

Send the schools that treated me like crap some nice letters thanking them for nothing. :meanie:

i would probably cry and then stop checking my email like 45 times a day🙂

Thank the Lord for what he has given me. Then concentrate on passing this semesters courses.

Thank God and then take the day off. Then go shopping and indulge in some Cold Stone and Gino's East.

And then either withdraw my app or throw away secondaries to all schools but my top 4 (acceptance included).

I will eat a tub of frosting. (I am a type 1 diabetic BTW).

No, but I will probably cry in relief and in awe of the fact that I will actually be a doctor ... after all these years of "trying to get into to med school" I will finally be there. It will be an incredible moment.

work a bit more at my job... then get my tickets to travel to europe/bartend in ireland

Let out a big sigh of relief...shed a tear...jump up and down...work even more to pay down some bills and get ready for a huge adventure.
