most of us mortals have had bad ones at one point or another.

please vote according to your lowest grade after any relevant curves.

personally, I got a 53 on my first cell-bio test... it was a beast.

50% for physics II exam

...

When I decided I was going to drop Physics II, I stopped studying for the tests (idiot move). I ended up with a 23% on a test, although the class average was a 55%, so it wasn't THAT terrible...

Yeah several years ago when I decided halfway through the semester that I was going to retake one of my calculus classes I did the same. Too bad I didn't know what a 'W' was the time (didn't even know I wanted to go to med school then). Anyway I still had to take the final and literally just went in, bubbled randomly, and left. 13%. On the final. I still got a D in the class (not even a D-!). Retook it for an A, but it sure was a GPA killer.

I was given a standardized math test when I had just arrived to the US when I was 15. Most of the questions were word problems. I'm pretty sure I got <30% because I was placed in a special ED math class.

A 46% on orgo 2 sticks out in my mind.

I was shocked, I thought I got closer to an 85.

I'm surprised at the results so far, compared to the "intelligence" thread...

(I kid, I kid. 😛)

63 in an Ochem test..

And I was the highest grade.. -_-;

And NO curve..

It was honestly the professors fault, he doesn't teach here anymore..

Does the zero I got on my statistics final count? I hadn't bothered going to class in two months; I was just too lazy to do the paperwork to drop the class. Big mistake.

I've done fairly well in college, but in high school... I hated math and never studied for pre-algebra. Our first test rolls around and I made a 14 on it. Looking back on that, it's funny because my degree will be in a pretty math intensive major.

25 + 7 point curve in physics....awwwyeah👍

Who the hell has multiple choice math exams?

I got a 32 on a MAJOR test pretty recently, but the average was a 25, so I guess it's not really so bad.

Probably something like a 40 or 50 on an organic exam. Class averages were always in the 30s, no curve until the final grade. That class sucked ass...never worked so hard for a B.

Other than organic, I think my lowest would be a 75 in gen chem 2, which ended up being dropped anyway.

You guys need to step into the world of physics, for real. I averaged a 29 in one of my classes and still beat the class average for a big, fat C.

A big fat zero.
Still got an A in the class, though.

Thats nothing new,who hasn't seen a multiple choice math exam. Those can be the trickest. Ex:
A.) 3x+7i^3-1.234
B.) 3x-7i^3-1.234
C.) 3x+7i^3-.1234
D.) 3x+7i^3-12.34

I got a 34 on a Mass/Heat Transport class. It was the highest score.

Yeah.. it was a giant class so he didn't want to grade each test by hand.

The questions were ridiculous; Not the kind you can plug into an equation and work backwards.

50 on a virology exam that was curved to a 60. Ended with a A- in the course but I had to work my butt off after that first exam.

I got a 55 on an especially nasty acid-base-ion-titration-equillibira (lol) Gen Chem exam.

If I recall correctly, long ago when I was a mere young collegiate lad, I scored a 78% on a psych examination - twas the first of the semester examinations and my instructor did not create the exam and knew not what was going to be on it. The department chair wrote it. Twas a learning experience, indeed.

this post = thinly-veiled bragging

62 tie.. 1 Human Phys test and 1 Organic 1 test.

As of now 80-100 but it doesn't really count considering I'm only a freshman and have only taken four tests.

After Physics and Orgo I fully expect to joint the 0-39ers. Can't wait!

47% on my last regular organic chem 2 exam

54% on my last gen chem 2 exam (didn't really count, since I could drop an exam, and I didn't need to do well)

sounds even worse than my physics class 👍 it was hell but we all aced the MCAT afterwards despite only being able to figure out ~35% of the test questions

^ GRADE INFLATION

Got a 38 on a Calc II final. Class average was a 28. Good enough for a B!

so far a 78 but I'm still a freshman (taking bio/chem), so probably going to get worse than that sometime down the road.

What did you do? Burn a Rembrandt in front of him? 😛
That class was by far harder than my science classes. We had to remember the smallest and most detailed things in that class, from 10 chapters on a test with 20 questions.😕

god, why'd you take a class like that to begin with?

I just need a fluff class to round off that semester and thought "Art" was an easy class. *wrong* You should have seen all the biochem and engineering majors stuggling in that class. My three test exams were..30, 60 and 80...Made an A😎. Was it a mistake? Of course. Do I care? No.

if you wanted to take an easy class you should have taken philosophy. and i can see why biochemistry + engineering majors would struggle, art is such a subjective/abstract subject.

I was taking that at the same time already.

My last semester I was taking an advanced biochem class that I absolutely hated and put forth minimal effort toward. The lowest of our four exam grades was dropped, and by the time the fourth exam came around my fate in the class was pretty much sealed. I didn't study for a single minute for that exam and took it blind; the best part was that, for some reason, I was still trying to answer the questions even though I knew absolutely nothing. I left the free response questions entirely blank.

I think I ended up getting something around a 20 on that test. It was awesome.

Somewhere around a 35% on my organic chemistry I final. The class average was a 39%. I made a B- on the class after a curve. My professor was such a terrible teacher. I've never had a class (a sequence, really) make me rage so hard.
