Iowa is definitely a great school. I loved it when I interviewed there. They really care about their students and the facilities are great.
When I was there it just seemed like they have SO MUCH ROOM. Everyone has enough space for everything. Iowa City is a very affordable place to live as well. They have a great building dedicated to just the dental school with an amazing reputation.
I am from MN and have already deposited at MN. I haven't heard from Iowa, but it was definitely my second choice after my state school. They do have very high stats for those who are accepted, ESPECIALLY if you aren't from Iowa. I think they only had like 2-4 days of out of state interviews.
I know they are known for the research money they have available too. The head of their research program said that they have money available for any student who has an interest. I believe they have every specialty program as well? If you get accepted there, definitely consider it a great option.
The class size is around 80 which is nice too. Not too small, but not too big.
