Has any one heard from them? Interview? do they take some time to get back to you about your status? Just wondering 😀

I was complete in early August, got the invite in early September, and interviewed there a couple of weeks ago. You can always check your status on the status page, which is very informative and up to date compared to other schools (Yale, HMS, for example which are basically useless after you are complete). They will email you an interview invite if you are selected, and then your status page will reflect that decision and let you schedule. After the interview, your status page changes to say interview complete, and then they have a tab for financial aid and other useful links. They have the best status page, the only other school that has a comparable status page is Pitt. (What is it with the Pennsylvania schools  )

I hope that answers your question 🙂

PS-At my interview I was the only non-Ivy person (well except the guy from Northwestern, but that is also a great school). Keep that in mind.

On their website it says that they don't do interviewing until October, so thats why you might have heard from a lot of others schools but not them if you got your applications in a long time ago. I applied pretty early and haven't heard from them yet. On their site it also says that screenings begin in October, so I don't know if they wait until October to even look at anybody's file or what. They said it could take 1-3 months to go through process.

thanks for the responses! i was complete in late sept, so im not worried or stressed waiting for them.......its one of the few schools im complete at so i kinda look at the status page every day hoping for a change.......yeah im a loser!

good luck treg! :luck:

Hey Treg! I was also basically the only non-Ivyleaguer at my interview day. It was weird. Yale, Princeton, you name it.... and me "Where do you go to school? DelaWHERE?"

Yeah, that was the only turn off for me. Especially since they put your undergrad school, which for me was Alabama, but I have been doing my PhD for the past four years in Canada. So they would look at me and say, "wow, how is....Ala..bama?" and then I would say, "well actually, I haven't lived there for a few years." Them: "Oh, where do you live now?" Me-"I am doing my grad studies in Canada." Them: "Oh wow, a masters?" Me-"No, PhD." Then I sounded just as pretentious. Ugh.

Too bad we weren't there on the same day 😉 We could have flexed our state school muscles in unison  I see from your profile that you are a latina--me too! Did you go to their minority reception? I thought it was fantastic, and everyone was so nice 🙂

I am HATING Alberta right now. We have about a foot of snow and they don't plow here, so the side streets are a pure sheet of ice. I fell on my bike on the way in to work today, I didn't get hurt but it p*ssed me off.

I am hoping to head out east for med school, but I applied to U of A "just in case."

I would say that Vancouver kicks Calgary's butt. Good luck :luck:

Yeah, too bad we weren't there together! Yep, latina. I didn't hear about a minority reception.... I'm not a URM, maybe that's why. Just the average latina, not the ones they're actively recruiting, I guess. 🙂 The IvyLeaguers I met seemed nice enough.

By the way, I did meet a first year who was from Alabama. 🙂

hah, i felt the same way coming from texas.

i was honored to even be invited.

I'm off to Penn tomorrow 🙂

I have a feeling it's going to be a bit intimidating for me, since I am nowhere near an ivy-leaguer (I'm a Penn Stater)... we'll see how it goes!

Treg - did you have a good interview experience?

Good luck Nittany Lion!! Easiest interview ever.... definitely don't stress! Go public school kids!!!

I posted my interview feedback for Penn, interview date 10/04, just yesterday, if you want to read it. I thought it was great there, but not as great as one or two of the other schools I visited.

Go state schoolers! We will kick those ivy kids' butts in football any day of the week

I've been complete since around 8/20 and still haven't heard anything. I guess I was brushed away into the losers pile. 🙁

I think this was discussed on another thread, but I can't find it....but will it make a significant difference if I push my Penn interview back to December or even their first date in January? The dates offered on my status page all conflict with other interviews, religious holidays, etc and although there is a chance I could squeeze it in on a certain Wednesday, it would be very stressful since I would have to come back for a class the next day and then take off for a Friday interview somewhere else. 😱 Anyone else pushing off non-rolling interviews till after winter break?

I can't believe this semester is over halfway over....and it doesn't feel like I've even DONE anything... 😱

Well, I'm pushing it back to mid december as opposed to november so I sure hope it doesn't hurt 😉
