What's up with Yale?

Am I the only one who STILL isn't complete at Yale? I submitted my application to them in early July. My letters went out in late August. A couple weeks ago I finally emailed them and they wrote back saying not to resubmit my letters, and that it would just take them awhile to update things, and not to contact them in the meantime. But what does "awhile" mean? They don't give a time frame and the status page is becoming useless, so I have no way of knowing if they really even got my application. I was so excited about applying to Yale until this happened.

they take an insane amount of time to update that screen... at least they did for me (my letters were also submitted in late august). i'd wait another week or two and then give them a call.

They took about 2 weeks to update my webpage from the date my letters were sent in (9/15 mailed) .... and it says my file is with the committee

Same here. It took them about 1 1/2 weeks to update my page. My letters were sent about the second week of september.

Truthfully, I think they're just picking names out of a hat and using that to determine which status pages to update.

PS- and yes they take forever with the status page, especially as the season progresses and they have more and more stuff to enter. Hang in there!

1.5 weeks? it took me longer than 1.5 months

Also, Yale is non-rolling, so it's not AS big a deal to not be complete there early. We're going to be waiting until March for decisions anyway, so they probably figure it won't kill anyone to wait an age for them to update status pages.

I called them like 2 months ago, when I was thinking the same thing, and they said that the lady who did my part of the alphabet (last name begins with g) went on vacation and that nothing was done for those applicants. Like a month later they confirmed receipt of my amcas application (which was sent in early june), but they still havent confirmed receiving my letters of rec. I just sent them again to see if it will help. Pehaps it wont. Oh well, at this point I dont even care anymore.
