what's your strategy to tackle top front end problems?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

do you just come up with 3-d pictures as soon as you see the two views?

1) make sure you understand the rules what dashed lines means and what solid lines mean
2) now how the different views relate to each other
(how the right side of the front corresponds to the left side of the end) etc
3) look for changes (number of plane shifts)

go to barnes or borders, pick up Barron's DAT prep book, read over the PAT strategies section, remember it or write it down on post-it note...put book back.

Cost: $0.00

if you have the time, try drawing some of them and getting a feel of what your actually looking at.

I spent little time on the pat and got a 18, so its not too difficult.

The intents of trying to figure out 3-D pictures in this section will assuredly eat up time at the expense of other sections. Like Rajan told you, work on the line relations and eliminate your answers from there where possible. You should definitely get DAT Achiever to improve your grasp on TPE. It has many challenging questions on Orthographic Projections with both 2D and 3D solutions.
