When are interviews offered until?

Hi,
Does anyone know when the bulk of interviews are suppose to be flooding in? I have about 10, but they all came sporadically. I didn't apply to any community programs.

Can anyone give a time span, eg end of November?

There is no hard and fast rule. Programs may interview until early February and extend offers until mid-January. Offers may come at irregular times as candidates who earlier accepted a spot will cancel, leaving room open to invite someone else.

For the most part, programs will not tell you if they aren't going to invite you for an interview. But if you know the last interview date is early January and you haven't heard 2 weeks before that, then its unlikely you will get an invite. Also most programs don't interview the last two weeks of the year.

Is a rejection button really too much to ask for? We've got this option:

It'd be kind of nice for the programs to have a similar option:

You know, just for closure. Rejection sucks, but limbo is even worse. 😡

I know exactly how you feel...I'm still waiting to hear from my top programs (including the one where I did a sub-I and was told by the senior resident that she would look forward to seeing me when I came to interview), even though I know they've already sent out invites.
