I heard from one school almost immediately but nothing from any others. One application was submitted two weeks ago and the other seven weeks ago. I feel like I have a really strong application so I'm wondering, how long do schools typically take to decide to interview you? I never thought the waiting would be so hard. How did your schools contact you too, email, phone or by letter?

Ah, the waiting process. I understand your pain but there's really no formula for how long it will take to get an interview. Factors include the volume of applications that year and whether the school use rolling admission or not. Usually, schools are nice with sending you an e-mail about whether they received the application or if all the requirements are complete though. If you didn't get any sort of that, it would be nice to contact admissions to make sure that all documents are sent there.
For now, I know it's hard but try to move focus away from pharm applications time to time too. We all need breaks from extreme tensions coming from the app process. It's just my opinion, but I think finding a way to deal with stress will benefit a person in the future when s/he gets into a pharmacy program, too since it's obvious that once we're in, we'll have to deal with greater stress than this believe it or not 😉

I feel your pain. I submitted pharmcas mid October, my two supplementals on 11/1 and 12/1. I applied to four schools and I have yet to hear any decision. I did have an issue with one of my schools, which caused it to be delayed two months before I noticed it. And now pharmcas is showing I'm missing a transcript when I only needed to submit one and it was done on 12/31. They are fixing, but I think it may have caused another delay, because I should have heard something within 10 days (per the admissions office) and it's been longer than that. I'll be calling the school later today. Waiting sucks, but whew, I feel better just getting all that out.

Thanks for the replies. Its just that every day that goes by with no contact, my anxiety builds. Especially when I read people here saying, "I got an interview within a week of applying!" I do have to take a break and stop thinking about it so much. I even dream at night about pharmacy school interviews.

Check the schools thread in the "Pharmacy School Specific" forum. If there isnt' one for this application year, start a new one. If folks are getting interviews, ask them when they submitted PharmCAS. If they submitted at the same time or after you, you should call the school and inquire as to the status of your application.

For at least one of my schools, the status was "incomplete" because of some issue with their system. If I hadn't called them, I could likely still be waiting to hear from them....instead, I'm accepted and attending at that school.
