Hey all, for any of those that have applied to Mizzou, do you know when they begin sending out invites?? I've yet to see anyone post an invite, so I'm assuming they haven't started yet.

This is the first cycle that the new director of admissions is running -- and it's the first year with the electronic secondary -- so I would expect things to be just a little slower than in previous years as they tweak their processes. With EDP now out of the way, I imagine invites will really start cranking out in the next couple of weeks. Good luck! :luck:

Congrats on the early decision, bro. I hope to see ya next year.

I applied there as in state and haven't heard anything either.

I just received my secondary application from them. It stated that they begin interviews in October, so I think they start a little later than other schools.

Does anyone know, do all in-state applicants get a secondary from them?

I received my invite Wednesday for Mizzou... interviewing 10/24! My app was complete 9/13. This week was the first week they sent out invites, so don't worry.

Yeah... all Missouri residents have files opened.

Not to hijack your success, but does anyone know if Mizzou favors students who pursue their undergraduate education w/ them? My stats are almost identical to yours Lacrosse, complete in mid August, IS, and didn't receive an invite on this first go around. Hmmm.....gotta love this process.

No, they don't favor people who go here for undergrad, just MO residents in general... I know people who don't go here that received interviews this week as well. You may want to call Admissions though for your status, because some people weren't receiving the email invites due to problems w/ their IT system. Just a thought. Also I heard that they only sent out 24 invites this week... as someone said before, this is the first year for their online submission and it's a new head of Admissions, so it make take some time to tweak things. Hope you hear soon.

I just got an interview invite for 14 November, so things are moving. I dropped my 2ndary there around the 15 of September.

Here's to hoping that the rest of you that haven't heard anything get one soon too.

Did anyone who has already been interviewed at Mizzou already receive a decision? They said they meet every second week of each month but does anyone know if that includes October? Thank you!

I don't think the above statement is necessarily accurate. While it's true that they favor MO residents regardless of undergraduate institution, I've heard from several med students at Mizzou that they do in fact favor their own undergraduates. No data to back this up... just what I've heard from Mizzou med students.

OP, I'm an OOS and received my invite for 11/6 approx. 2.5 weeks ago.

From the data that shows what schools most people come from, yes, most come from Mizzou. But, the reason is because of the two pre-admissions programs that they have. Maybe it looks like they favor Mizzou undergrads, but then again maybe its because lots of MO residents that apply here actually go here.

As a Mizzou alum (notice, not a Mizzou Med student), I can agree with lacrosse's assessment. By the time "regular" and even EDP applications were being processed last year, we were only competing for about 65-70 seats in the class (as some pre-admitted people applied and went to other schools). Mizzou is the top "feeder" for the med school, but they take people from several states and institutions. Just try your best to be patient, and best of :luck: to all of you waiting on decisions!
