I am reallly reallllllly freaking out about the PCAT coming up on the 23rd. It is my first time taking it and Im worrying about it b/c I need a great score to compensate for my weak GPA (2.9). I just hope it doesnt have very detailed questions b/c I have been studying more or less general concepts.

I entered all my grades on pharmcas and I noticed a good trend in my grades! My first 3 semesters my GPA was : 2.3, 1.7, 2.1. However my last 3 semesters have been 3.2, 3.3. 3.5. Do you think this will make a difference to the adcoms?

Just wanted to release some pent up worrying on here.... Im just praying that 6yrs tech experience (2 yrs CPhT.) and a decent PCAT (70+) will give me a good shot at getting in somewhere!..hopefully here at Campbell. Anyone else feeling the PCAT/application/GPA blues?

My GPA's stronger than yours...but I have no pharmacy experience....So I need an extra high score. So, yeah...we're in the same boat when it comes to stressing over this June exam.

But from what I've read here, most schools look at the total package when it comes time to pick applicants. I get the vibe here that, if your passionate and get take care of your business, you'll get in and thrive.

I don't think you are alone in your worries. I am also stressing over the PCATs also. I've been trying to focus on my classes this quarter in order to raise my GPA, since it's pratically the last set of grades that Pharmacy schools will see. As a result, I have not been studying for the PCATs at all. I am thinking about canceling the test all together because I still have finals coming up this week. That leaves me 1 week to study. Do you guys think I should take my chances with taking the test or should I cancel it altogether and take the August test? I wanted to submit my applications early though

i think you should take it! honestly it wont hurt you b/c there is another one being offered in August this year which works out perfect for the un-studied like myself lol seriously though you have nothing to lose and everything to gain (an idea of what to study for next time if you have to take it again)
