Well if you haven't applied yet for this cycle, it would definitely be late. I would probably draw the deadline for being 'late' at January 1st. You won't be out of the running by this date but a majority will have already applied. Keep in mind I arbitrarily made up this date based on my own belief though.

it's too late after the deadline..I would say that the better your stats are the later you can apply, but I wouldn't risk it. I highly recommend applying as early as you possibly can.
