I got a B- in Biology II (the one dealing with the life cycles of plants and animals), it isn't required at my university but it will be at some other ones that I'd like to apply to, minimum pre req at other universities is a B (3.00)

should I take it again near the end? By then I will have improved study skills, more knowledge and will really know how much of a difference it will make

retake your c's, d's, and f's, before you waste your time retaking b's. When you retake your classes is up to you. You can do it in the summer or after you graduate.

"Minimum prerequisite GPA considered - 3.0/4.0"

WAIT I think I misunderstood, this isn't referring to each individual course is it? ...

Schools calculate gpa's as a whole. Pharmacy schools tend to break gpa's down into cumulative and sci/math gpa's, or even further. Don't look at individual classes when calculating your gpa. You calculate your gpa as a whole, then see which gpa is lower your cumulative or your sci/math gpa. Ideally, you want your sci/math gpa to be higher. Lastly, you don't want to shoot for the minimum gpa requirements. You want to figure out what last years entering classes' gpa was, and shoot for that. That will give you an idea of what to shoot for.

So in answering your question. You are misunderstood. Pre-req gpa means you calculate the gpa from all the pre-req classes you've taken so far only, not individually.
