When to apply? Confused

Hey everyone
So here my problem I am in my fourth year and decided to do a fifth year because I don't want to take all my upper level science courses at once and would rather spread it out into another year but I picked up a history minor and chemistry minor with my already biology major to have a good balance of credits for my fifth year and so I can be full time but it worked out because I love history.

I just need some advice from anyone. Should I apply this cycle with 45 credits that still need to be completed in my fifth year or wait until the end of my fifth year to apply with all my upper level bio classes completed and after graduating ?

Is it a big difference if I apply either this cycle or next cycle? Is it alright if I apply this cycle and just update AACOMAS as I go through my last year. I will be finishing the last of my prerequisites like Orgo 2 and bio chem and will be retaking some courses next year to utilize the grade replacement as well as taking upper level biology courses.

To avoid confusion next time, the current cycle is termed "this cycle" (2014-2015) and that is the terminology until the cycle ends in April/may. "Next cycle" (2015-2016) starts THIS June. I'm assuming you're takin. Your 5th year 2015-2106 and are deciding if you should apply then or next year (2016-2017).

Do not apply for "this" cycle (2014-2105). It's late.

Have you completed all the pre req science courses? What other science courses have you taken outside of the prereqs and how did you do?

45 units of science work is a lot so it seems that you won't have a lot of upper div science courses under your belt (since you spread it out) to apply for the 2015-2016 cycle. so my suggestion would be to wait it out for the 2016-2017 cycle.

When are you taking the MCAT?

Depends on your stats and MCAT.
And if you are done with your pre-reqs.
And if you will have a bachelor's degree by the time you matriculate.

I'm sorry for the confusion when I say this cycle I mean the 2015-2016 cycle and when I say next cycle I mean the 2016-2017 cycle. Thanks for catching that. I have taken genetics and cell biology with a B+ and A- respectively. I still have Orgo 2 which I will be taking in he fall of next year and I will be taking the MCAT in June of this year. I will be finished with my bachelors degree next year in May of 2016.

Hmm well you haven't finish all the pre reqs. I honestly think it'd be beneficial to take this next year and build your application. Do well on the MCAT and the rest of your courses. Tie up any lose ends with your ECs or volunteer work and have the whole package ready starting June 2016. Good luck!
