Sorry, I know this has probably been asked a lot of times but I can't seem to get my question answered despite numerous searches. I just started my 3rd year of undergrad and want to apply to med school around graduation time (in about a year and a half). Would asking a professor whom I've just taken a course with be too early, considering I'm not applying for awhile? Or should I just ask for it and save it in Interfolio or something? Also, how exactly does Interfolio work in relation to AMCAS?

Ask now so they remember you well enough to write a letter. Have them send it to Interfolio, who will hold it until you apply to med school. You will need to pay for the subscription until then, though. They charge a yearly rate, I believe.
