When to make first pass through First Aid?

I have read that it is a smart idea to make multiple passes through first aid, witch each successive pass taking less time. I would like to make my first pass before my dedicated study period. When would be the best time? And how would I do it considering I will not have learned everything yet since I will still be taking classes?
