When to schedule observation hours?

Hey everyone!

How far in advance should I set up observation opportunities with PT clinics? I don't want to reach out and set something up too early and have the clinic forget that I'll be there to observe or, alternatively, wait too long and not be able to find any places that have the space to have a student observe. Is there like a sweet spot in terms of time between contacting a clinic and actually starting observing or is it different from place to place?

What are everyone's recommendations?

I set up some observations a few weeks out, some several months out.
Depends on you and the clinic, and how difficult a certain spot might be to get a spot observing.
