I was complete everywhere by mid-August but have 0 acceptances so far (1 interview scheduled) ,not even from my state school.

I was thinking about sending letters of INTEREST to some of my preferred schools, and want to know when to send them. Should I send them now, in 2 weeks or in 1 month?

I have no updates to add to my app but I want to send these schools an email telling them that I'm still interested in them and make my case. Any advice on what to include?

And how would you interpret a nonbinding contract from a desperate applicant?

Schools know that you're lying. After all, you refer to plural schools below.

They already know you're interested...you sent them an app.

I asked this and got a resounding no.

If they aren't even interested in interviewing you now, why would a nicely worded email change anything? Esp considering the fact that you both need to interview and then get accepted and as we all know interviewees are not on the same playing field.

However, if you send in a physical letter with a $100 dollars you may get some love. HMS wassup.

.

I will only be sending them to my top choices, not all of them.

I want them to re-review my app. If writing a letter of interest does the trick, then that's all I need.

Not all schools accept or review letters of interest. And you have nothing to update so I'm thinking this is a big NO! What would you say? "Dear Dean, please stop what you are doing and rereview my application" ? What makes you think this might work? How will you select the schools to receive this letter? It would seem at this point any school that interviews you should be considered a "preferred" school! They know you are interested and the time to make your case was in the application

Sent from my iPhone using SDN mobile app

Lmao, I dont wanna ruin your mood but they aint doing jack for you. Who are you to have them review your app? A student who sent in a letter? OOOOOOhhhh
Practice patience and stop worrying. These things our out of our control for a reason. Don't be the annoying applicant that reminds them to do their job.

..or it could show that I am making the extra effort to show this school that I value them

Unfortunately this will not be received that way. Or maybe it will. It's an unnecessary risk I think.

At this point in the cycle, I don't think I have much to lose. At least this way, I'll have no regrets

You have stated that you have nothing worthwhile to say -- so by your own admission, you are only wasting their time. Don't.

Spend your time now doing things that will make your next application cycle a different story --
