I'm looking to apply to pharm school summer of 09 for fall 2010 but i'm lost with all the dates! When should i start my pharmcas application and turn it in? and how does the pharmcas early decision thing work??

Most of the info. you need is on www.PharmCAS.org. The application opens up in June 2009 for Fall 2010, so that is when you can start having your transcripts sent to PharmCAS, get letters or rec., filling out the basic info., etc. Early decision deadline is usually Sept. 1 and it is only for half a dozen or so schools. The general deadlines for all the schools vary, but there is a place on PharmCAS where you can find all the dates. Right now, you need to start thinking about who you will ask for a letter of rec, start working on your personal statement, and review ALL of the prereqs for the schools you are interested in because they vary among the schools. There is a school information link on PharmCAS's website where you can locate deadlines and requirements for each school. You should also look at the actual pharmacy website of the schools you are interested in. I would e-submit PharmCAS and the individual supplemental apps. in August or September. Go here for info. about early decision... https://portal.pharmcas.org/applicants2008/faq/pcas_earlydec.shtml

I have a question;

does the information (such as personal statement/essay etc) you entered the previous of your application still remain on PharmCAS the following year...assuming you didn't make into a pharmacy school that previous year OR do they reset the whole thing?

If you have to reapply it starts over completely. Old application profiles are deleted and you create a new one and reenter everything from the personal statement to the basic info.

Great, and I thought I've heard the worse in pharm school application process:scared:

Anyone know what the essay prompt was in pharmcas?
