When to take the exam?

Hi all,

I have a problem that I was wondering if someone can please help me out with.

When is the LAST possible day/date that I can take the exam on if I MUST get my results by 4/15 (school deadline)? PLease let me know (I have heard that it takes 3 Wednesdays to get the results, but then someone did tell me there is something about which counts as your "first Wednesday" depending on which day of the week you take the exam...I don't understand is very well...so, please tell me what is the last possible date I can take my exam and still get my results in before 4/15. THANK YOU!!!!

This is probably not the best place to get that answer since the advice you cite in your post is the general rule of thumb to the "when do I get my score" scenario (at least at my school and from what I've read on SDN). I'd probably talk your dean/student advising office as they'll know from experience. You could also try calling NBME but that may be a hassle.

generally you get it on the 3rd or 4th wednesday after you take the exam, so to be safe assume 4th wednesday, although on their website they say it can take up to 8 weeks to get results

Probably March 16th is the last day you can take your exam...your result will then come on Wednesday, April 13th. Hope this helps =)
