With people receiving acceptances, this should free up some interview slots. Please share where you will be withdrawing from so you can give the rest of us hope 🙂

Not enough acceptances to withdraw yet, but I promise I'll be good and only hold one at a time if I do get into more than one school.

I am waiting on a possible acceptance tomorrow, and then I can withdraw from one of my schools, but no such luck yet.

MSU-CHM....thank god I won't be paying $50,000+ a year

Withdrew from EVMS & Drexel invites today. G'luck!

When you withdraw from Drexel, can you say that you know this really great guy, LShapley, who you think would be just perfect for that Drexel interview? Thanks!

Haha, kanelope and Jolie South, put in the word for me if you wouldnt mind!!! MSU is my state school AND alma mater- maybe now I'll get one of your spots!!!!

jolie, kanelope... YES please withdraw from msu! 😀

oh and can you put in a good word for me while you're at it?

Ah Misty, great minds really do think alike!

This may be a stupid question, but what are you all saying in your withdrawal letters? I have no idea how to word a withdrawal letter nicely.

really who cares how you word it ... "I wish to withdraw my application"

whats the big deal!?!

Haha, you're right, it's not a big deal... it's so pre-med of me to make a big deal out of everything...

Anyway, I will be withdrawing from UMDNJ-RWJ and BU, though I didn't have interview invites at those schools. I'm also considering withdrawing from Jefferson, where I do have an interview invite.

Albany...I feel bad because it is on wednesday and it is a good school...just too much gas and not really interested in spending more money since I got Upstate.

I withdrew from FSU COM today.

Withdrawing from Stony Brook and Jefferson, both where I have invites

Life.
It's too hard.

Declining interviews at Tulane, West Virginia, and the University of Illinois.

cancel interviews from cornell, mt. sinai, northwestern and withdraw

I cancelled my Thursday Albany interview. I felt bad about the short notice too, but still thought it was better to not waste their time and mine.

Expect to withdraw a few more of my applications in the next week or so, but this was the only one I needed to decide on right away.

When withdrawing is it sufficient to just email admissions or should we call? Also if we email them, will they reply notifying us that they acknowledge the withdrawl. I really don't want to be rude and not have them be notified, but I don't want to call because I feel bad.

I'd call, and they may ask for notification in "writing" which an email should usually suffice for.

I withdrew from USF, UF, and UM today.

Boston, Maryland, Darthmouth, SUNY Stony Brook, still deciding on others

i cancelled my interview at albany and i might cancel at temple if i get a certain acceptance. and i would probably decline interviews from 5 out of the 9 schools that i have not heard from. :luck: i do not plan to be greedy with interviews or acceptances. i hope everyone feels the same way.

i also don't want to spend anymore $$$ if i get into one of my top choice schools

Just got accepted at Cincinnati.

Most likely withdrawing from Cornell, Columbia (NYC is too big for me... what was I thinking!), Jefferson, and MCW.

I had my 4 interviews in september/early october, and have yet to receive any more....so thank god I have one acceptance, because I don't think I'm getting anymore interviews!

I'm sure you'll get UW...

For some reason, that was very scary. I just withdrew from Jefferson, Tufts, Boston University, and tomorrow, I will withdraw from UC Davis, and UC Irvine.

This was scary for me as well...but I withdrew from U Cinci, UIC, IU, and will withdraw from Loyola tomorrow.

If someone tell the adcoms to accept me at one of the 4 scchools I have already interviewed at I will withdraw from 2 schools I have interviews at plus some other schools that I am still under review.

I'm going to withdraw from EVMS in the next day or two. Go VCU!

more withdrawing from jefferson, pitt, and washu st. louis...had I know I would withdraw from half my schools by now, I could've saved so much money...
