A school just notified me that I still need to take a social science class to matriculate....oops. I'm thinking of doing this class online through a reputable college.

I looked at Harvard's online classes and they're $1000. 👎

Does anyone know of a reputable (top 20 school) that offers an online class for like $500-$600?

Thank you!!

If you just need a single social science class, why on earth would it need to be at a "top 20" school? Just take one at a CC to save the money, or the cheapest university you can if CC is not acceptable.

Yes good point, but unfortunately it needs to be online b/c I will traveling lots. And if it's from a top 20 school, its reputation may help raise the legitimacy of the course.

So anyone know of a top 20-30 university that offers relatively cheap "continuing education" classes online?

A social science course is a social science course. A med school isn't going to revoke your acceptance because you took a social science class at a non-top-20 university.

That's ridiculous, and you're ridiculous if you think it matters.

none of them will be cheap. even my school, which is a state school, costs about $800 (in state tuition) to take a 3 credit online course

Take it at a CC and get an A. If you're already accepted to the school, they won't reject you because the social science class wasn't taken at a university.
