Where is the DISLIKE button?

Why only a "like" button and no "dislike" huh? We need to be able to DISLIKE some God-forsaken posts. Life works in duality. Right & Wrong. Left & Right. Up & Down. In-medical school or not. In residency or not. Ya dig? Whoever came up with the "like" idea on this forum with no "dislike" button needs a smack in the head

Maybe it was a way to cut down on the "qft" posts. As in, instead of having to quote someone to say "This, I agree here". You just thumbs up it. If you disagree, usually people either ignore it or they quote it and engage in a debate or share their alternative viewpoint.

Because this site is supposed to be a positive place for prospective and current medical and doctoral students to come for information, advice, comradery, support, and guidance. A dislike button does nothing to forward the mission of the forum. The "like" button, on the other hand, exists so that others can quickly show their support for an idea, opinion, or advice, without making a whole separate post that just says "+1". Thus is useful because a large number of likes, particularly in advice or support related threads, can allow one to see where the consensus on the topic lies. If you dislike an idea, a post as to why you dislike it and how you see the issue is in order, as simply "disliking" a post without explanation would do nothing to move the topic further toward a productive destination.

This is the best year of my life. It is not for you to understand. I don't owe any of you an explanation to my joy and acceptance

BTW, I got into top 5 school too - not to give my ID away

Please don't be pompous, brag and then quote a bible verse. First off, that verse has nothing to do with medical school acceptances in any way, shape or form. Second, this makes Christians look like hypocritical idiots. We're having enough of an image problem right now.

Why do you have a problem with my happiness and call it bragging? People like you never get anywhere because you are not happy for others - you want an explanation or justification since your mind cannot conceive or accept the happiness and success of others.
