Sorry about the abrasive header but 225 step1, mostly HP in 3rd yr, mostly H's in 1st/2nd yr, submitted 9/8.....and NO interviews? Actually just a measly acknowlegement email from unc.... 🙁

Of course, BOTH of my anesthesiology letters are NOT in, but still......

Oooh...on a side note...I can type a reasonable facsimile of the f-word on SDN....wowsers, I'm such a potty-mouth 🙂

I've only heard back from places that I kinda considered my backups - I've somewhat similar stats w/you (slightly worse in each category) -so I think its about a month or so too early to get worried (especially if you didn't 'over apply' like I think I did).

That's what I kept telling myself to stop me from applying to like 10 more programs this afternoon. Again....too much time on my hands!

Well for what it's worth, from what I can tell none of those programs have sent letters to anyone on this board yet. I also applied to some of those and have not heard from them. I'm guessing these next few days we'll see some movement and invitations from those programs.

With the exception of Emory, a havent seen anyone from your list give interviews yet. I applied to UVA and Scott And White also, and havent heard from them. I think its okay to relax. And why was adding Yale against your better judgement?

Because I have a feeling this year that yale is going to be overwhelmed with 235+ applicants....just like the rest of the ivies! But hey, $15 is not much to waste....I spend more on dry-cleaning.... 😉

Guys, it's still REALLY early. Nobody has their Dean's letter yet. Most programs don't get moving for awhile. I just talked to our secretary the other day and she said we had almost 300 aplicants but she hadn't sent out any interviews yet. I think everything took off for me in Late October/early November and that is still a long time from now.

Yeah that's what the secretary at my school said too. I have no interviews yet either. Just remember no news is good news for now.

New Haven sucks, but the program is good. People are nice. Yale U has a lot going on. You can get to NYC in 1.2 hours, ski in VT/MA, surf in RI, and rock climb most anywhere. Food is very good.
