Is it emphasized to study only at the Big 4 schools and what is the reason for that? Many of the schools teach in English, but what about C.American schools? Are Carribean schools preferred over them or b/c students want to stay closer to the U.S? There has to be students that go to there but want a U.S. residency and anywhere else in the world too! So what is the preference for staying in the Carribean and attachment to the Big 4?

The catch of the "BIG 4" is 1) they have been around for 30 years +, 2) more respected by program directors because they require more effort to get into, 3) can practice in all 50 states (unlike the others), 4) have thousands of current U.S. doctors practicing in the States (increases respect for the programs), 5) Best place to have a shot at better residencies outside the states, 6) Can do all your clinical rotatons in the U.S. (unlike most central american schools) <--- To name a few

Big 4 = SABA, AUC, ROSS and SGU

Big 4 = Practice / Licensure in California hence all 50 states.

Big 3= AUC,ROSS and SGU = Federal student loans

Other schools = Newer, no California approval, No federal Loans and at many now no loans, so there are behind the Big 4, in fact some of the very Bottom schools do not have WHO or IMED listing so they may be considered Diploma Mills! 😱
