I hope Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Joe Johnson, and Nowitski all go to the knicks, Lakers or the Celtics.

For those who would put their money on where "The King" would end up, Vegas had LeBron as -150 favorite to stay in Cleveland up until two weeks ago. Now, with the media going haywire and the trade deadline approaching, the odds have gone in the complete opposite direction to a whopping +350! Now, the favorite is Miami (-140) and Chicago (even). The reported pow-wow between LBJ, Wade, and Bosh to try to end up at the same franchise no doubt affected this, but who knows if there's any weight to this.
If he left, he would be vilified till the end by the fans of Cleveland and others who have a disdain for the modern day mega-millionaire star athletes. I'm not a Cavs fan, but I hope he stays...Cleveland has been hurting for a championship for some time.

It would be great to see the bulls rise again because I really like the current Chicago team with Noah and Rose, I don't know if LaBron would be a good fit as a team player, maybe the Knicks are a better fit (he might end up as one of those great players that never wins a championship) I would really be happy if Amar'e went to the Celtics and send them to the finals again

I think I remember a post asking what a good job market would look like. A dream job market would be like being in LeBron's shoes. Groups from all over would be falling over themselves trying to get you to join.

If you had the ability to make hundreds of millions of dollars for multiple men (the group's partners, the hospital CEO, the CEO of the microscope company that sponsors you, etc..), they would.

My guess is Chicago or Cleveland.
"The King" has a strong possibility to win a championship with Chicago (Joakim Noah, Derek Rose) and beat Michael Jordan's record for attaining a championship. And Michael Jordan is his idol....
He may not want to leave Cleveland though. Since he's from around that area, and since Cleveland has done just about everything he has asked of them (accept sign other great players), my guess is that he'll be shunned if he decides to jump ship. No one wants to be shunned from their hometown, especially if they've been so good to you.
On a more biased note, I hope he comes to Chicago since I live here. 🙂 Bulls games are a lot of fun, and they'll be more fun with Lebron.

That is true. If he leaves Cleveland, he will become the most hated person in Ohio, his home state. If I was him, I would say F-it, and go to NY or LA to achieve greatness in a world class relevant city, but I have a feeling that he is too loyal to his home state.

Cleveland isn't as bad as most outsiders think, but it's not nearly as good as most Clevelanders would have you believe.
He probably should stay and try to win it for Cleveland. If he does, there will be statues of him all over the place, streets named after him, etc etc... If he wins in any other city, they'll *only* just give him his ring and truckloads of money. 🙂

I don't understand why ppl believe Lebron would even consider going to the Nets. Yeah, he's friends with JayZ, but cmon the Nets had the worst record last year and prob one of the worst records in the history of the NBA with 12 wins. 12 wins. No way is Lebron going to the Nets.
New York...yeah sure if he doesnt want to win and just wants to play in a big city. That team has no players...yeah they have Gallinari...thats about it. Lebron wants to be one of the greatest that has played the game. New York is not going to do it.

Cleveland has a good team....had the best or one of the best records last few years...but no one on that team seems to step up in the playoffs...yeah if they can bring in another star I can see Lebron staying. Lebron can sign a three year deal and try to win a championship. If not, he's gone.
Miami, I just cant see Lebron in a Heat uniform...Lebron, Bosh and Wade in Miami is too good to be true...I dont think itll happen.
Chicago is where Lebron will end up...maybe because Im a Chicagoan. The current team (Noah, DRose and Deng) can take Lebron deep into the playoffs...maybe even to the Eastern Conference Finals next year. Plus, they can also get another player (Bosh, David Lee, etc).
While I've become a fan of LeBron and frankly commend his decision to pass on being the "star" and willing to put his ego aside for the opportunity to WIN in Miami, I was flabbergasted the way he did it - with a self-promoting, narcissistic 1hr "Decision" special. I feel bad for Cleveland yes b/c they lost their home-grown hero, but more so b/c of the way he ripped their hearts out. Wow, greedy, selfish, and immoral. If LeBron ever considers an occupation change into pathology, he'd be the perfect guy to work (and represent) podlabs.

That's really jupming to conclusions. Who knows what kind of pressure lebron was under from the NBA, ESPN, and his personal crew to disseminate the news in such a way. The NBA had a very vested interest in it because it made the NBA relevant when it is usually one of the last sports on peoples' minds this time of year.
Anyways, he did say at the end that all of the proceeds went to his foundation, which is really huge, as well.

Yeah I concur that it's nice he's donating the proceeds, but he could have done the same by simply making the announcement in the usual (standard) press conference format [and perhaps had the courtesy to phone the Cleveland owner privately beforehand to let him know the decision] and just donated the $ himself from his giant wallet.
While he might end up surpassing Jordan on the court, off the court he'll never amount to MJ's class.

No way does Lebron even compare to MJ. MJ never quit on his team and I am sure Lebron quit on his team in the playoffs this year against Boston. If you've followed MJ from the time he joined the Bulls, he was a true leader, which Lebron has yet to showcase. Even during the dark days of the Bulls, he hung in there and did all he could for the team. They picked up a bunch of pieces along the way, Pippen, Grant, Rodman and Harper. He made everyone around him so much better. He never left Chicago in hopes of winning a championship. I believe Lebron could've won a championship in Cleveland IF they had another star on the team. But the question would have been how would they attract a star player to come to Cleveland? I mean it definitely would have been possible if Lebron waited it out, but I think he just said screw this and quit on his current Cavs team and the city.

But he's not Batman on this team. He's just one of three amigos, not really that much more the alpha dog than either of the other guys. Don't get me wrong, I get his decision. He's friends w/ these guys, they've wanted to play together since the Olympics a few years back, and South Beach is WAY more fun than Cleveland. Fine. I just wish he had called a simple press conference and been honest about his decision. He did not wake up Thurs morning and decide this. He decided this weeks/months if not years ago. Read this:

I don't so much have a problem with what LeBron le-did (although I think its probably a long-term mistake), but I have a huge problem with how he did it. Stringing the city of Cleveland along in an almost Bachelor-type of live narssicistic reality television circus is the single cruelest thing an athlete has ever done to a city. It did not have to go down like that. He could have announced that he was signing with Miami with a traditional press conference in South Beach. He instead decided to humiliate Cleveland for no other reason than to fuel his own ego. The fact that he did this under the guise of children's charity makes it even all that more galling.
I believe that LeBron permanantly damaged his brand. His future championships will not be meaningful. Perhaps the saddest part of this is that I don't think he really understands what he did here. He is so self-absorbed and immature that he does not understand the impact of what he did.

Seriously, I think he and Rev Sharpton really make the racial divide worse. At times, these two are really poor role models for African Americans.

I completely agree with Jesse Jackson. Lebron was a free agent. He signed and fulfilled two contracts with Dan Gilbert. He was not a traitor. Dan Gilbert is acting like an ass and is acting exactly like a slaveowner would act if his slave split the scene and there was nothing he could do about it.
Seriously wouldn't you leave too if you were Lebron. After seven years, the best player gilber could get was Mo Williams?????????????? Jordan had Pippen, Rodman, Horace grant, great shooting guards, tony kukoch, veteran centers. Magic had Kareem, Worthy, Byron Scott and Rambis. Kobe had Shaq, and three gifted seven footers (pau, bynum and you know who), and Derek Fisher and that one dude that has won seven titles on three different teams.
Why the hell would you stay with Dan Gilbert when you can go to south beach, have awesome winter weather, play with great players, a better owner, pat riley, no taxes and girls eurostyle sunbathing at the beaches and elite trendy hotels.

I seriously think these three knew they were going to join each other in Miami years ago. I think the interviews were just for show and The Decision was the culmination of a publicity stunt. Dude did you guys see the commercials? Lebron James Vitamin Water cmon now.
I read he made 6 mil in ad sales 2.5 of which went to the Boys and Girls Club. Don't you think his boyz who head LRMR pocketed the rest. You know Lebron cashed in for his boys that night.
They must have left out the multimillion dollar salaries paid to slaves in the history text books I read growing up.
An ass? Yes. Salve owner? Ridiculous. Dan Gilbert is acting just like a guy who spent all his cash on a girlfriend that was too hot and out of his league only to be dumped and traded in for a different guy with more money and ocean front property. I'd probably feel a little spurned and inadequate, too.
He's definitely making an ass out of him self. But, the slave owner analogy is ridiculous and likely an insult to anyone with slave ancestors.
