yeah cells are apart of glands. for example the pancreatic gland has islets of langerhans that are comprised of alpha and beta CELLS. These release glucagon and insulin respectively.

Hmm, I thought groups of cells collectively released hormones. I guess not. Any cell can release histamine? I thought it was only mast cells.
