I have already picked up an older copy of BRS Physio but would anyone recommend grabbing the larger text version (Physiology by Costanzo)? What does it have that BRS lacks?

Also (OT) is levinson worth it for immuno?

Thanks!

Just my opinion...but Levinson for immuno was awesome...I'm clearer on the subject then I ever was last year and practice questions in Qbook were very doable after spending around 2 days w/ levinson....it really gives you the big picture and a manageable amount of detail.

As for BRS phys vs. Big Costanzo...it depends on what kind of time you have to review and your comfort level w/ the subject

Bigger Costanzo = more diagrams, less detail, more concepts

BRS Phys = lists, lists, and lists, more detail, less concepts

Pick your poison - or, I recommend both.

Read through the big Constanzo one time. It teaches you all the major concepts brilliantly, one of the best physio books ever in my opinion.

Use BRS to summarize. BRS will fly if you read the big Constanzo once.

Big Costanzo is my phys mistress.
