Which DO schools don't have out-of-area core rotations?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
By that I mean students can do all their core rotations in the same city or general vicinity of the school without having to move.

Thanks!!

TUNCOM is one. AZCOM assigns about half of their students to do core rotations in Phoenix, but they still require an out-of-town rural rotation and depending on availability you might still have a few out-of-town rotations.

Osu has most rotations available locally. Anywhere in a major city will probably have that possibility so kcumb, ccom, pcom, tcom, dmu etc are likely to be similar. There is always he chance you will have to go out though, and no guarantees that you won't at any school.

Msucom has the most. Roads, optho, neurosurgery, trauma, radiation oncology... everything at your base hospital basically. If you're around Detroit, you can even do peds for everything at children's. Just about every hospital in Michigan is affiliated with msu, and the 'state'-wide hospital system includes over 50 hospitals and cancer, heart, stroke, burn, etc centers, and like 3 VAs.

All of your rotations at msu are also within the system unless you chose to rotate out of state, where you need to either go through vsas or the visiting schools app. In state, you just fill out a webpage that goes to med end with dates and rotation requested. Doesn't get any easier.

You can do all your rotations in Philadelphia for PCOM or within driving distance. That doesn't mean you'll get all rotations within the area, however. There are also cores located in other parts of the state. For the most part, you can stick around if you want.

There is a required rural rotation where most of the sites are not within driving distance.

KCOM has some big sites in-state. They do have NERH adjacent to the school, but I'm not sure how much you can do there.

NYCOM (NYIT) has a large list of hospitals in NY, and NJ, and you can choose to never move if you wish.
