Which DO schools will mark you "complete" without a physician LOR?

Does anyone have a list of DO schools that don't require you to submit a DO LOR with your secondary application? For instance, I know LECOM just requires you to submit your DO LOR by the time of your interview (if granted one). Do any of the other schools have this same policy?

Long story short...I only applied to MD schools and have received a few rejections and mostly holds/silence. After a lot of thought, I've decided to submit a DO application (I know it's SUPER late, but I know a couple of people who were in my situation and were lucky enough to receive acceptances to DO schools despite a February application). Although it's not ideal, I don't really have anything to lose at this point. With that being said, I have all of my science and volunteer LORs, but no physician LOR. I can get a DO letter of rec within the next few weeks, but I'd like to get my application in ASAP. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Just as a note for next time, this would have been more well received in the Pre-DO forum, not the Osteopathic Medical Student forum.

What are your stats and EC's if I may ask?

LECOM, Liberty University COM, Oklahoma State University, University of Pikeville - Kentucky, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, West Virginia SOM all require a DO LOR. The rest either do not care (MD or DO), prefer, or strongly recommend a DO LOR.

Get information about the schools and their admissions statement here

One more thing, don't think it's worth applying to KCUMB this year. Class was full before xmas and they let the rest of the applicants know that the will not being looking at applications until late april I believe. I strongly suggest looking at their SMP (through the KCUMB College of Biosciences).

Look into it more, but I am pretty sure VCOM-VA will give you a DO letter of rec after the interview if they like you. Like you interview, and then they will like schedule you to talk to a DO for 30 min and then they will write up a letter.

I think its VCOM... Its either VCOM or one of the LECOM branches in PA, I cant quite remember.

Side note, you are probably screwed for this cycle. Depending on your stats and ECs (lots of clinical or good life story or whatever) you probably wont get a whole bunch of luck, especially without shadowing a DO or without a DO letter. You will probably just blend in to the hundreds of other people that did not want to apply DO but then scrambled after getting rejected by MD schools. Just calling it as it is.
