Which school provides the best school-owned housing for students in terms of size, quality, "moderness" (but not considering price)?

Most schools do not provide housing to med students. Some of those that do are the New York City schools because of how unaffordable the area is, but i don't think they are particularly posh places.

Anything with a kitchen is so bueno. It'd be better and cheaper to stay with a homestay.

Most of these places just subsidize the housing, not so much actually provide dorms.

Boston university medical school has some really nice on campus housing for the medical school specifically.

To me, Mt. Sinai's dorms/apartments were pretty nice, at least compared to what I was used to. And the subsidized rent (~$600-700) to live in Manhattan is a big plus also.

All the NYC schools have great on-campus housing. I've heard Einstein has been consistently reviewed as the best, but haven't seen it for myself. In Philly, Jefferson has good on-campus housing. I've also heard that NYMC students mostly live in their on-campus housing up in Westchester for the first 2 years.

700$ rent in manhattan? Holy ****. That is one hell of a subsidy.
Yea, and after a cursory though my materials from the school/online, it's actually closer to $550, not including utilities.

Genuinely impressed with Sinai's and UCSD's housing. Granted UCSD's is only offered for two years, but for a heavily-subsidised $500-ish per month and spitting distance from the beach.

Sinai's subsidy is ridiculous. In regards to size/location/price, it's probably one of the best housing options in Manhattan. Some units even have balconies with a view of Central Park. 😍

How about SF? UCSF?

Do you know if med schools have policies against camping trailers? Seems to be a better alternative to exorbitant rental rates.
