Hey all,

So my AMCAS has just been approved (on Friday), and so hopefully secondaries will start coming in for me soon. However, the address I listed on my AMCAS is my campus PO BOX address, which is not where I will be for the next month (I will be at home instead). Which schools send secondary application materials/correspondence by snail mail? Should I try to have my mail forwarded to my home address here (if thats even possible from california to missouri?). Please advise. THanks!

Michigan, JHU, Harvard, UCSF, Michigan, WashU and Penn all send via email (didn't apply to the others you have on your list). UCSFs isn't out yet but the others are. WashU/JHU are avaible to anyone online without invite.

Are you a bench lab person because your honors thesis was history of medicine (I'm applying history of medicine MD/PhD so I was interested)

So far all of my secondaries have been available online. Most have been browser based (woot) but a few have been .pdf that you then have to mail to the school (lame). The only things I've gotten in the mail have been pamphlets from the schools

if you want to see the entire list so far (there's alot) look at my mdapps profile, although I am applying to a ton more schools than you!

No, I'm actually applying to do a scientific MSTP...I'm able to do two honors theses- one in bio and one in humanities- because my bio one has been essentially finished for the past year, since its been prepared for submission to a peer reviewed publication. I really enjoyed the humanities research I did with my professor for one year, and so I decided to parlay that into a thesis project, since humanities is my minor.

Only one I've heard of that does the paper snail mail secondary is UConn. There may well be more, only one I know of, though.
