Which prep course is better Kaplan or ExamKrackers?

Need your help
Can you tell me which prep classes are better ExamKrackers or Kaplan
Those two are the only one, as far as I know, in my area (Brooklyn, NY)
Both of them have the same price (which is not cheap) and the same amount of hours.
I've already bought books for EK since I thought I will be able to do it myself, but the results after each lecture are bad and I need to guess the answers very often.
What should I do?

Honestly, it depends on who is teaching the course. You can have a great teacher with either company who helps raise your score immensely, or the exact opposite can happen and you'll feel like you wasted your money. Generally it seems that EK has higher standards for its instructors (only my subjective opinion) so you might have a better chance with them.

i think examkrackers looks like a more interesting course - but i took princeton and found it just fine. The courses are covering the basic sciences and some of them make you do in-class work which isnt that great. The bulk of the useful stuff is your practice tests and content (the princeton books are largely considered good) but I really like the EK material b/c its just formatted nicely and comes in nicer compact books.

You seem familiar with both Princeton and Examkrackers prep courses. I did some research and found that Princeton offers lot more for almost the same price, for example Ek gives 5 simulated MCATS, while PR 8 or 9 of them. I need to add that self study in my case was a waste of time!!! I am really not sure which one is better, can you help me decide?

I can help you, but this will likely come down to location and timeframe. Princeton Review is a national course and very well known and respected - I liked the material they provide and the instruction was superb. Examkrakers is admittedly newer but has emphasized the MCAT as its main focus (along with the LSAT) but also conducts business in the northeast where I live. I chose the Princeton course for two reasons - one was time, I wanted the May administration and wound up having a Feb-April course in my area. Princeton is better in this. Second was materials. I already had EK books and could not get hyperlearning without some added effort. I just felt the compliment was better.

Both materials are fine, and both will give you lots of practice. Princeton allows you to take all the AAMC exams while I do not know Examkrackers AAMC situation. I feel both give you equal bang for your buck and I prefer the EK books since I am fairly decent at the content and really like the synopsis they give. Princeton is great for the course and you would not be let down by them. I've never taken the EK live class and will leave that to another persons opinion since I cannot give one without being biased.

kaplan gives a ton of practice resources, which is key for success. the classroom sessions are good for REVIEW, but do not serve to TEACH you the subject. but, you do get 11 kaplan full lengths, plus like 8 aamc tests, along with MANY section tests, topical tests, and the online q bank.

i'm in the class now and its working out well so far...
