Which review books do you guys use to study for NBDE Part I?

I recently purchased "Mosby's Review for the NBDE."
seems like there is a lot to know!!

I don't like that book. Kaplan's review was more useful for me...

I've also been using the Kaplan book and some Instant Notes books to supplement any areas that I need to read more on. Haven't used any of my undergrad textbooks yet.

Has anyone used the First Aid for NBDE 1 for their test prep? Any comments about this book? Thanks!!

I used the First Aid book to study for my boards, and I just took them yesterday. I thought the book was great. It does not have as much detail as the decks, but I really felt that if you went through the decks, and then used First Aid as a sort of review, that was perfect. I like the Kaplan book as well, but I felt that First Aid was more concise, which is helpful for the exam in my opinion.

Hi,
Yes using decks ,kaplan notes and solving as many Qs as u can will definately help u to get good score. The thing is u have to keep revising it 'n' number of times. Now a days I also heard of NBDE first aid book.I dont know anything about it but many have said here on SDN that its good.So u can also think about that book.Rest is ur hard work.Just have faith and start reading wholeheartedly success will definately come ur way.
Good luck to u

I was just wondering, how long you should study before boards. I am a 1st year student and was just trying to plan ahead.. thanks

 - this is one of my favorite questions... How well are you doing in D-school? How well do you want to do, How much time are you willing to put in per week?

If you just want to pass, all you really need is one month with decks and old exams.
If your goal is above 90, don't underestimate the exam. Dental decks and old exams are probably not enough. Get first aid and use class notes.
