Hi everyone!

I was hoping you could help suggest schools that I should apply to for the 2010 cycle. I have applied twice before so this will be my third time. I am a NJ resident. Undergrad GPA is 3.3 overall, 3.1 Sci. Graduate GPA is 3.5. First time I took DATs, I got 18Bio, 19GC, 16Orgo🙁, 22QR, 18RC, 17PAT, 19AA, 18TS. Second time I got 20Bio, 15GC🙁, 19 Orgo, 19 QR, 19 RC, 19PAT, 19AA, 18TS. I will be taking DATs for a third time in late June.
I have research experience, published in a journal, volunteer hours, and work as a dental assistant.
Both my father and my sister are dentists:xf:, graduated from Marquette and UMDNJ. I have to pay for everything on my own, as a graduate student, so I cannot apply to every school (less than 10). Please help me suggest schools!!! Thanks!!!

Schools I thought to apply to are:
UMDNJ-NJDS
NYU
BU
Tufts
Marquette
Temple

USC, UNLV? Did you get any interviews? You just need to stop getting crappy 15's and 16's man 😛 Obviously it's possible if you had 16 --> 19 and 19 --> 15. I had similar stats to yours (19 TS, 18AA, 3.3 GPA, 3.2 Science) and I got interviewed and accepted at USC, UNLV, and Tufts after applying to 20 schools. I was not interviewed anywhere else.

no interviews anywhere...But thanks for suggesting USC and UNLV Ranelar! I didn't bother applying to those schools for the past two years because I was worried that west coast applicants would have a better shot bc dental schools would be more likely to recognize their undergraduate universities.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Midwestern is a newer school and they interview a lot of people. Also a bigger class size. It is expensive but if you want to be a dentist it takes only one acceptance.

which reminds me -- you might also try western. They're brand new, they started accepting this year.

I know you're probably being sarcastic, but I applied to both Meharry and Howard my first round of applying and after paying the secondary fee, never heard from them...not even a rejection letter/email.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
