Hi I am a CA resident with a 3.6 and 32 mcat. Non URM
I have ties (family) to New Jersey and chicago, but not really any other state.

Out of these 24 colleges which ones are not friendly to CA residents or even OOS residents? Any advice on which I should remove would be wonderful.

Thanks!

West Virginia
Wright State University
University of Wisconsin
Virginia Commonwealth
University of Utah
University of Oklahoma
University of Minnesota
University of Nebraska
University of Hawaii
University of Illinois
University of Iowa
University of Kansas
University of Louisville
University of New Jersey Robert wood
University of Central Florida Orlando
University of Cincinnati
University of Alabama
University of Arizona - Tucson
Univesrity of Arkansas
USF Health Morsani
Commonwealth Medical College
Medical College of Wisconsin
Eastern Virginia
Cooper Medical Rowan University

I have other like 15 other colleges on my list already, but these are the ones I am not really sure about and would like to know which to cut.
Thanks!

My culling results in the list below (and investing in the MSAR is a good thing for you)

University of Utah
University of Central Florida Orlando (don't know; my MSAR's a tad out of date for this one)
Univesrity of Arkansas
University of Kansas
University of Iowa
University of Louisville
University of Illinois
Commonwealth Medical College
Medical College of Wisconsin
Eastern Virginia
Cooper Medical Rowan University

Hey thanks for the response. Just to clarify would you cut those schools or keep those schools?
I have the MSAR and that is how I added these schools to my list, they accept students with my gpa and mcat. They also accept 20% or more OOS students.

Keep the schools on my list. Some of the ones you had down accepted only about 10% of OOS, or less, but in reality, most public schools accept people from neighboring states. For example, why would someone from NY settle down in KS??? (It's usually the other way around). But someone from OK would very likely settle in KS.

Also, for a number of those schools, your numbers were towards the very bottom of their matriculant's numbers. So just because you're in their ranges, doesn't mean that you're an automatic accept.

from your list I would apply to:

USF Health Morsani(secondary super long)
Commonwealth Medical College(good chance to get interview)
Medical College of Wisconsin(good chance to get interview)
Eastern Virginia (good chance to get interview)
Cooper Medical Rowan University
University of Arizona - Tucson(low chance)
University of Cincinnati(low chance)
Virginia Commonwealth(oos very friendly)
University of Wisconsin(low chance for OOS with your stats)

Other schools on your list not friendly to OOS and CA residents.
From other public schools you can try Toledo and all SUNY schools in NY(good chance to get interview but not good chance of acceptence).
All private schools from MSAR with similar stats of yours all over the country would work for you.
